Flipped (2010) Movie, trailers, love at first sight

<br />

These movies now days are having good adoption and most of them been relatively from the best selling books all over the wide. Books been a mass media and relatively Flipped 2010 is quite sure of what is going around with teen and romance. This movie was been adopted with a novel based on teen and it was been so far in 2001 written by Wendelin Van Draanen with the same name. Modern movie directors are more consumed about what is life is all about and here in these movies it was quite pleasure of making the movie fans more closer with reality and some times it can be one of life style. These movies did gain more confidence on what is really on the book and some times when it shows how the teens were attracted to one to other is some what awesome.

Flipped movie 2010 is one of the finest with teen's story and did have lot of inspired of how the behaved of boys on girls. Julianna falls for Bryce in the movie and it was where a girl fell in love with a boy she meets. As we speaks on the movie there been quite a nice movie drama and most of the fans did able to handle it with good enthuse. Love stories always comes with new ideas and for this movie director Rob Reiner is so keen on making it a romance comedy and he makes set of comedy right through out the movie from the start. What matters most is this movie grows with the kids and their love been almost starting at seven. Wow it was very fancy to see how the changes into youth making them count on what happens between them from the childhood and good movie directions are help it long way right from the start.

As the teens grow up movie slowly starts to count on their dreams and desires, if only the girl seems to be the trouble of the boy eventually he does fell over at the movie some times. Even ones in childhood he spends one week inside home watching tv to hide from this girl who been fallowing him almost every step. It was very colored movies with touch of romance and every one should love to see how it goes.

This movie does speak about the nature of love and how a care heart can easily make a teen fell in love with. Which was been the main topic of the movie and many of the teen movie attractions and romance does chip in with the time been of it. Most of the teens movies in recent been only better for sex attractions and this movie was quite different and rather movie into the drama based romance.

How ever the movie seems to carry long distance with its appeared drama and the cast of this movie was really tempting with new faces. Some times movie directors did use new faces to make some different to the movie it self and here in this movie it was been quite success too. In this movie cast of Madeline Carroll, Rebecca De Mornay, Anthony Edwards, John Mahoney did a wonderful job and it was more attractive movie for many reasons.

This movie still in making the touch up work and some of the scene are still to be edit red this love story is making good come back for teens and it really been quite a good movie adoption as far as the youth in involve of it. Movie will be released on Fri 17, Sep 2010 and it was another good comedy romance teens to be view.

Curling and movie trailers

<br />

Not much in the tank for blogging this evening. I got back a short time ago from the Thursday night curling league finals. We started off well and jumped out to a nice lead, but just couldn't hold on. It also didn't help that I played crap. We lost, which is a touch disappointing. It would like to win one of those league finals one of these years. Plus, I'm losing Stephanie, my Third, this year. Which is sad because she's a great player and, more importantly, a lot of fun to have on the team. She's going to be very hard to replace next season. I really would have liked to have sent her on a winning not. Ah well. She had fun, so that's the main thing.

So in lieu of blogging, a couple more movie trailers. I know Iron Man 2 is the comic book movie everyone is focusing on this year, but there's a trio of other ones that look interesting. There's Kick-Ass, which I think I put a trailer up for earlier. Then there's Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, which is coming out in August. The trailer for it when live today.

I must say, I thought trying to film those comics would be pretty hard, but it looks like they've nailed the general awesomeness of the comics pretty well. Whether audiences are going to get this or if it's going to be too weird for them I don't know. But this does look like fun. It's a great little series of comics, by the way, especially if you're a fan of video games as it mixes the weirdness of comics, music, video games, dating and Toronto into once package.

Scott Pilgrim is an indy book from Oni Press. Then there's The Losers, which is a DC/Vertigo book and comes out next month, I believe. It's a strange comic to be made into a movie. The series last about 30 issues and was then wrapped up essentially before it could be cancelled. But again, the movie looks fun and captures what I remember from the series. Which is to say lots of explosions.

There you go, curling, comics and movie trailers. Not a bad night's work.

Last Five

1. Almost - Sarah Harmer*

2. Dangerous animals - Arctic Monkeys

3. Band on the run - Paul McCartney

4. The wreck of a life - Sam Roberts

5. Bill (live) - Allison Crowe

THE NEW-AND-IMPROVED MOVIE GEEK PARADISE THAT IS

<br />

It was only about three years ago that I first wrote about Joe Dante and his distinguished company's marvelous web site Trailers From Hell. Back in July 2007 I was very excited about the possibilities of this new site devoted to horror, science fiction and exploitation movie trailers, and in the interim it seems an awful lot of people have joined in my enthusiasm. The site recently collected another honor from the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards, named for the acromegaly-afflicted star of such popular Universal B's as House of Horrors, Jungle Captive and Pearl of Death, where Trailers from Hell was named Best Website for the second consecutive year. But while awards and recognition are wonderful things indeed, and extremely important for sites like this one to remain healthy and grow their audience, the honors are not what is most exciting about Trailers from Hell these days.

Over the past three years the site has expanded its roster of original Grindhouse Gurus (including Dante, Edgar Wright, John Landis and Mick Garris) to include an impressive roster of names from across the vast expanse of exploitation and mainstream cinema. Some of the names gathered under the Trailers from Hell umbrella to share their thoughts on a spectacular collection of movie previews include screenwriters Larry Karaszewski, Josh Olson, Howard Rodman and directors Allan Arkush, Katt Shea, Alison Anders, Stuart Gordon, Michael Lehmann, David DeCouteau, George Hickenlooper, Neil La Bute, Jack Hill and Eli Roth, among many, many others. And that collection of trailers itself has grown into quite a library-nearly 400 titles at this writing, with more added every week, with the range of genres spanning from B-horror and sci-fi like The Green Slime, Destroy All Monsters and The Fiendish Ghouls to big-budget mainstream Hollywood fare like El Cid, Written on the Wind and Cool Hand Luke. Of course, the emphasis is on horror, sci-fi and exploitation, and just a glance at all the available titles is to disappear into a click-fest of movie geek happiness, a virtual guarantee of at least two hours lost, time you might have spent perhaps more constructively, but probably not having nearly so much fun.

And recently, as if the dangling carrot of hearing Edgar Wright wax on about the trailer for Michael Winner's The Sentinel wasn't enough of a come-on, the surfing experience at Trailers from Hell has just become even more seductive-now the preview for each film has an active comment field where you can leave your own impressions, either about the trailer or the observations of the guru who is there to guide your journey through two-minute time warps of such pictures as I Was a Teenage Werewolf or Shogun Assassin. And if seeing the trailer for Freebie and the Bean or Hell Up in Harlem stirs your desire for more, TOH now features buttons that will lead you directly to sites where you can buy official one-sheets and DVDs of the movies in question. Trailers from Hell has really evolved from simply a grand good time to a very special kind of bliss for exploitation fans.

But wait, as the carnival barkers on late-night TV love to insist, that's not all! Now the good folks at Trailers from Hell have put together a collection of 20 of the best and most representative of their catalog of preview horrors on a DVD entitled The Best of Trailers from Hell Volume One, and it truly is a gem. You get Dante's voluminous knowledge applied to such classics as The Curse of Frankenstein, Blood and Roses, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers and perhaps most memorably, William Castle's The Tingler-- He describes in detail the practical application of the movie's "electric shock" Percepto gimmick and also notes that Vincent Price takes the first on-screen LSD trip in cinema history, before quickly adding that unfortunately Castle as a director was no Roger Corman, "so the whole thing just comes off kinda silly."

John Landis, assuming various identities such as Hammer house director Terence Fisher, Swifty Lazar and Pigmeat Markham, introduces the sumptuous visual treat of Curse of the Werewolf from Dante's rather beat-up personal print of the trailer ("Werewolves tend to like to hurl burning bales of hay at the howling mob-Look, there he goes!"), Paul Bartel's Private Parts, the classic Willis O'Brien adventure Mighty Joe Young and Kenji Fukasaku's memorably awful 1969 sci-fi opus The Green Slime, which is so mesmerizingly bad that it seems to hamstrings even the garrulous and reliably funny Landis, who is in such awe of its intense degree of cheese that he seems, for once, genuinely at a loss for words, which is, in this context, its own kind of comedy.

Hostel's Eli Roth and The Stand's Mick Garris check in with some great previews as well. Roth seems most at home, not surprisingly, with the gruesome shocks to be had from the previews for Squirm and Three on a Meathook (he also features The Birds and Forbidden Planet, whereas Garris lets out his inner stop-motion dinosaur geek for a look at Ray Harryhausen's The Valley of Gwangi. Garris also grooves on David Cronenberg's Rabid, the "groundbreaking" Hypnovista grue classic Horrors of the Black Museum and even American International's Scream and Scream Again, which featured a poster that was far more memorable and exciting than the movie itself.

The Sentinel gets the Wright Stuff treatment in this hilarious Trailers from Hell highlight.

But the highlight of the collection of trailers featured on Volume One has to be Edgar Wright's howlingly funny tribute to the cinema of Michael Winner, specifically his disgustingly outré post-Exorcist scare picture The Sentinel. Watching the trailer with Wright, you get a hilariously detailed trip through every vulgar misstep made by the director in this shockingly ugly and unpleasant, yet somehow very watchable religioso horror movie, from Sylvia Miles ("Have a hat and noisemaker for the party!") to Winner's indefensible choice to have the denizens of hell represented by a gathering of extras and performers with real-life ghastly deformities. And what's more, Wright gives you the skinny on where he tips his own hand to The Sentinel in his brilliantly funny trailer parody Don't! from 2007's Grindhouse experience. Wright's geeky enthusiasm is as infectious as Dante's at its best, and he makes a real ride out of checking out the goodies inside the trailers for Silent Running and Corruption, with special awe and reverence reserved for Brian De Palma's Phantom of the Paradise, whose trailer is rhythmless and undistinguished but extra-long enough to give Wright plenty of time to sing the movie's praises in his very funny way.

If this were all the Trailers from Hell DVD had to offer it would be quite enough. But Dante and friends go the eager consumer a couple of notches better by including a couple of vintage cartoons-- Ub Iwerks' The Headless Horseman (1934), complete with a Castle Films logo that will give certain of us ex-Super 8 print collectors a bit of a thrill, and John Foster and Manny Davis's The Haunted Ship (1930)- and best of all, the full-length 1933 Majestic Pictures horror classic The Vampire Bat starring Lionel Atwill, Fay Wray, Melvyn Douglas and Dwight Frye. The Vampire Bat was a staple of the weekend horror movie show I watched as a kid, Sinister Cinema out of Portland, Oregon, and cueing it up on the Trailers from Hell DVD I felt instantly transported back to the pre-VCR days of staying up late and eagerly soaking up whatever old classic Victor Ives and Jimmy Hollister cared to offer up. The Vampire Bat is juicy stuff-the director, Frank Strayer, who made 85 movies from 1925 to 1951 and whose best-known work outside of this little gem is the bulk of the Blondie movie series starring Penny Singleton and Arthur Lake, displays an eagerness to utilize his camera in surprisingly expressive ways. The movie casts an eerie spell that earns it a proud spot in standing with its contemporaries coming off the Universal lot around the same time. It's a real treat to be reintroduced to this nearly forgotten horror title, and who better to bring it back to our attention that the gang at Trailers from Hell.

My ravenous appetite is now officially whetted for the second volume, which I'm hoping won't be too much further down the road. But for now this terrific DVD is the best possible introduction, for those who haven't already made Trailers from Hell a daily indulgence, perhaps even an addiction, to the playfully scholastic approach Dante and his stellar cast of crazies take to this most enjoyable and disreputable branch of film studies.

Trailer to a great comedy about a lucky ordinary guy that meets a REAL beauty that seems to fall in love with him. Lack of confidence almost leads him to big problems in relationship so watch the movie and you'll see if he makes it or not. Burke and Hare English Movie Review

Burke and Hare

Aptly returning to the scene of the crime and premiering in Edinburgh at the 2003 festival, Terry Newman's hilariously dark play about Britain's first convicted serial killers was one of the hits of last summer's fringe.

Keeping the same, highly praised, partnership of Rob Crouch and Jonathan Clarkson as Burke and Hare, the show was then co-produced by Brute Farce and original producers Skullduggery for an acclaimed run at the Brockley Jack Theatre in London.

The show charts the descent of two Irish immigrants and their spouses from the opportunistic sale of a dead lodger to a reign of terror in Edinburgh's Westport that resulted in 16 murders between November 1827 and Christmas 1828. This is a fast paced and fluent journey, careering from slapstick farce to melodrama and grand guignol horror and shot through with the trademark imaginative flourishes of established touring company Brute Farce and Edinburgh favourites Skullduggery.

Burke and Hare was one Irsh double act that made a killing without being nominated for the Perrier Award but did gain a Hairline Fringe Review "Highlight" award and a Fringe Report "Drama Writer of the Year" award for its writer.

The Edinburgh production played to packed houses at the C venues 250 seat theatre on Chambers Street but the show worked equally well in the Jack's more intimate 50 seater studio.

Based on the true story about the famous murderers, 'Burke And Hare' follows the hapless exploits of these two men as they fall into the highly profitable business of providing cadavers for the medical fraternity in Nineteenth Century Edinburgh, then the centre of medical learning. Iris: The Movie Korean Movie Review

Plot

Korea, the last divided nation on earth, is constantly under political and military tension with the surrounding countries especially with the North Korean nuclear issue. To avoid the second Korean War, the secret service agency NSS exists for the national security on the Korean peninsula.

NSS special agents are trained specialists who would use any means to fulfill their mission. They officially do not exist and are not acknowledged or protected by the government. Although they are trained to be cold-blooded killers, there is one taboo they cannot avoid; that is love.

Hyeon-jun (Byung-hun Lee) and Sa-woo (Jun-ho Jeong) are close friends and rivals in the 707 special forces. They are both recruited into NSS and quickly become the best of the best. Each with different secret assignments, they soon have to take on different paths of life, and even against each other. In a world of conspiracy and betrayal, they both fall for Seung-hee (Tae-hee Kim), the beautiful but lethal profiling specialist at NSS. They are forced to make their final decision when they are faced against each other in a nuclear terrorist attack, and Seunghee's formidable secret is revealed.

Dawn of the Dreadfuls book trailer makes it's way down the primrose prequel path

<br />

With some of the success of Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters being due to it's wickedly clever creature feature trailer,it only stands to reason that the good folks at Quirk Classics would follow the same sinister recipe for their newest Austen related terror title coming out very soon.

Yes,the official trailer for Pride &amp; Prejudice &amp; Zombies:Dawn of the Dreadfuls has hit the internet with a bloody vengeance and made quite a splash indeed. It has all of the thrills,chills and zombie massacre action that any Gentle Reader and horror movie aficionado could want and then some:

While the new DOD trailer is most exciting,the true challenge here is seeing how those who enjoy the original PP&amp;Z will take to this book which is in a rather tricky category of fiction both of page and screen status,the prequel. Prequels,for those not quite sure of the meaning of the term,are stories that come after a well established book/film but the plot lines are set in a time earlier than the original story.

A good example of that is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,the first sequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark that takes place about a year earlier and gives Dr. Jones a new locale and cast of characters to work with as he stumbles into an adventure in India. Many other film franchises followed suit,since this format allowed them to only recast certain actors and a little more leeway with story lines. Some have come to see Temple of Doom as the one that started that ball rolling,for better or for worse:

Others,however,claim that honor for The Godfather,Part II,which gives us the back story of deceased mafia patriarch Vito Corleone(played by Robert DeNiro)along side the continuing saga of his youngest son Michael,who keeps the family criminal empire alive by hook,crook and dark betrayal upon betrayal.

The prequel portions of the film are really meant to be a point/counterpoint to Michael's struggles to hold together the business and family connections that his father built up,only to find that price for both creating and maintaining such a position of power is a heavy one,regardless of generations. The strength of both sides of this saga coin is that either one would make a fine film on it's own yet together,they make a masterpiece:

Prequels in the hands of Hollywood do not guarantee that even the lead actors are exempt from being recast. Tom Clancy's Hunt for Red October film adaptation was followed up by it's literary prequel Patriot Games but the pivotal Jack Ryan character was played here by Harrison Ford,who was a tad older than Alec Baldwin who originated the part in the earlier film.

Ford took over the Jack Ryan series,which turned out well for the most part and his style of acting did suit the character but it's interestingly ironic that in order to keep these films going,Jack Ryan had to become the action thriller version of Benjamin Button:

A long awaited prequel is the live action version of The Hobbit,J.R.R. Tolkien's classic fantasy novel that predates the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It was made into an animated feature film back in the mid-seventies by the Rankin-Bass crew and still has quite a bit of cult movie chic to it today.

Guillermo Del Tor is said to be on tap for the director's chair for the new Hobbit instead of Peter Jackson,which I think will work out fine. Del Toro has the same kind of visual wonderment style as Jackson,only with a more pronounced approach to creating awe and amazement on screen which should suit past and future fans of The Hobbit to a T:

Dawn of the Dreadfuls may brook some opposition from a few fans who are a bit more particular about these things,but the lighthearted and the lively amongst us will be able to thoroughly enjoy this giggle worthy gruesome romp with the Bennet girls yet again. For those of you still in doubt,console yourselves with the fact that at least this is a prequel rather than a sequel(which even many of uninitiated into Austen fare know she didn't write),so mellow your harshness,please:

Movie Trailers

<br />

Movie trailers make things not seems so far away. I saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D with Adam's younger sister Becca. It was pretty good. It was a little flat for me, a little empty. Actually the best thing about the whole dang movie was the trailer for Tron. I didn't like the first one and the new one looks meh, maybe it will be good. I noticed the release date for the movie is 12.17.10. Adam will be home then. We can see it together. I was so excited I almost jumped in my seat I was so excited. I feel like I may be over the hump. It almost feels like he may come home soon.

It's like the first signs of springs, but instead it's the first signs of the end of the deployment. Hey-- I'll take what I can get.
